Privacy Policy
Effective Date: November 7, 2026 · CursorSwarm by labbrow
Key Summary: CursorSwarm operates 100% locally on your computer. We do not collect, store, sell, or transmit your personal data, web browsing history, or recorded videos to any remote server or third party.
1. Information We Collect
CursorSwarm collects zero personal information. When you activate CursorSwarm on a web page, the extension processes the page's visible DOM elements solely within your local browser memory to animate the multiplayer cursors and reconstruct the layout.
2. Chrome Permissions & Why They Are Needed
CursorSwarm requests only the minimum permissions necessary to function:
- activeTab & scripting: Allows CursorSwarm to activate only when explicitly triggered by you on the active tab (via toolbar click or Alt+Shift+S) to animate the cursors and reconstruct page elements locally in memory.
- tabCapture: Allows the extension to capture the active tab when you click the "Record" button. Captured video and audio streams are processed entirely in memory and never leave your machine.
- offscreen: Allows the extension to create an isolated offscreen document for hardware-accelerated MediaRecorder video encoding and Web Audio synthesis without blocking the main browser thread.
- downloads: Allows the extension to save your completed video file directly to your local computer's Downloads directory upon request.
3. Third-Party Sharing & Storage
We do not have remote analytics servers, tracking pixels, cookies, or cloud database storage. No data is ever transmitted to labbrow or any third-party infrastructure.
